چکیده
Abstract Background Breast cancer is the most common malignant tumor among women. The mortality of patients could be mainly attributed to metastasis and spread breast distant sites. objective current study evaluate express role diffusion-weighted whole body imaging with background signal suppression (DWIBS) in detection osseous soft tissue metastatic lesions breast. Results prospective included 50 female pathologically proven cancer. overall sensitivity DWIBS STIR were 97.5% 92.5%, respectively. was sensitive sequence highest negative predictive values. value. Both detected more vertebral deposits (100% 97.8%, respectively) (94.4% for both) than WB DWI T1WI. Conclusion MRI an effective method solid organ, bone lymph node but not specific characterization lesions.

Diffusion-Weighted Whole-Body Imaging with Background Body Signal Suppression (DWIBS): MRI Sequence for Metastatic Workup
Objectives: To assess the feasibility of DWIBS in screening patients for metastasis either in bone, solid organs or lymph nodes. Patients and Methods: A total of 50 patients (27 men and 23 women) with their ages ranged from 27-69 years, mean age, 48 years. Forty five patients (25 men and 20 women) had distant metastases from a known primary malignancy, and five patients (2 men and 3 women) had ...

INTRODUCTION We compared the efficacy of whole-body MRI (WBMRI) with and without diffusion-weighted whole-body imaging with background body signal suppression (DWIBS) using a 3.0-T MR scanner to [18F] fluoro-2-D-glucose positron emission tomography with CT (integrated FDG-PET/CT) for the detection of bone metastases in patients with differentiated thyroid carcinoma (DTC). METHODS We examined ...
متن کاملDiffusion-weighted imaging and diffusion-weighted whole-body imaging with background body signal suppression for characterizing esophageal cancer: a case report
PURPOSE Information on the extent or structure of esophageal cancer (ESC) is necessary for identifying whether the carcinoma is localized or resectable. Diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) and diffusion-weighted whole-body imaging with background body signal suppression (DWIBS) are useful for this purpose. PATIENTS AND METHODS One case of ESC with dysphagia presented at our hospital. Endoscopic ...

PURPOSE To examine a new way of body diffusion weighted imaging (DWI) using the short TI inversion recovery-echo planar imaging (STIR-EPI) sequence and free breathing scanning (diffusion weighted whole body imaging with background body signal suppression; DWIBS) to obtain three-dimensional displays. MATERIALS AND METHODS 1) Apparent contrast-to-noise ratios (AppCNR) between lymph nodes and su...
